Babulenciaga
The world spins at an incredible speed. Among countless events, things, crises, and joys, the true value today lies in the ability to recognize and preserve what truly matters.
Sometimes, those most precious life moments are safely kept within a special, personal object.
Traveling through life, such an object becomes a silent witness — a reminder of connections between people, friendships, shared experiences, and emotions.
Like a small time capsule, it has the power to transport its owner back to those meaningful moments.
The BABULENCIAGA project was born in the textile design studio at Panevėžys Creative Center Pragiedruliai, in the heart of costume designer and curator Inga Jurkevičiūtė — out of love for friendship, creativity, and the power of personal stories.
At first, the name BABULENCIAGA began as a playful joke — a witty nod to the globally celebrated fashion houses like Balenciaga and the whirlwind of prestige, glamour, and power that the fashion world holds.
Yet, as the project evolved, it began to emphasize a deeper idea — that the essence of timelessness and meaning does not belong solely to big brands, but can be found in the quiet authenticity of real people and their stories.
This project is, above all, about people and about style.
It celebrates women who shape our city with their charisma, talent, sincerity, and sense of community — each contributing a powerful moment of her life.
The true strength does not lie in the fame of fashion houses, but in the person who gives meaning to what she wears.
No professional model or brand could ever imitate that authenticity.
The models of BABULENCIAGA are real women who defy time — reminding us that age is just a number on an ID card.
Their shared spirit is timeless, their energy inspiring anyone who needs encouragement or light.
